In the month we talked about joining with some other Toronto Wedding Professionals and doing a contest with them. We are giving away a photography worth over $5,000 to a lucky couple who wins from Brett + Doug.

We also blogged about our first shoot for the Samuel Kleinberg Jewellery Promo. Emily + Eric shot with Doug downtown Toronto on a very cold day.

While downtown that day, Doug met up with Amanda + Jason who booked him for their wedding in 2011 and they took some time to shoot with Doug a bit.

After this couple, Doug also shot Michelle + Martin who also booked Doug for their wedding in 2011.

Sam photographed a wedding for Manisha + Neil. Also posted is some engagement shots between them.

Sam also photographed the wedding of Monica + Raymond.

We also brought on board Aaron to the Blue Six Creative Team.

Aaron has had over 6 years experience in the photography industry. Over the last few years he has brought his strengths to documentary and photojournalism work.

Aaron’s worked for Canada’s largest newspapers and his images have been published internationally garnering awards from National Geographic, New York Photo Festival, American Photography and the News Photographers Association of Canada.

Each year he shoots only a limited number of weddings for clients who appreciate his documentary approach and eye for light. Aaron believes the greatest images are when the right light and the right moment come together in that miraculous way.

Adrian photographed the wedding of Sophie + Dominic.

Adrian also photographed Becky + Tyler a couple of months back and we blogged about it in Dec.

We ended up the year with offering a great promo of Winter Engagement Shoots for $90. Can’t beat that!

We posted a neat video of what life would be like in England if a big soccer match fell on Valentines Day.

Sam had a busy summer and he sent us a whack of images to post on the blog that he photographed.  One couple was Amanda + Justin who spent time with Sam to shoot some engagements in Toronto.

Brett photographed the wedding of Erica + James at the Old Mill in Toronto.  (seen below)

Dan + Adrian photographed a cool wedding for Liisa + Kevin.  (seen below)

We are going to take some of the November posts and add them to the December Review.

Dan + Rob photographed the wedding between Carly + Derek.  While scouting out the area the day before, we discovered a cool abandoned farm to explore with both of them and they were up for it.

We created a Tumblr site.  Tumblr is new to us but lots of inspiring things on there.  We love to repost things that we see on there.  It also collects our tweets as well as our blog posts.

Adrian photographed the wedding of Mariela + John up in the Kwaratha Lakes.

Adrian booked Katie + Raymond for their wedding in 2011.  While they got together to meet up, they shot some shots of them as a couple in the Rouge River Valley.

One of our weddings was featured on Bow Ties + Bliss and we are also listed on the site.

In October we launched our new Blog, which is what you see right now.  We took most of the things from the website and added it to the blog so it’s more of a one stop shop.  Our galleries are listed on our old website.

Adrian + Doug photographed a wedding for Susan + Andrew at Parkwood Estates in Oshawa.

We posted another video by Still-Motion that we adore.  Very inspiring, so if you have a moment… check it out.

Next up is November!

Dan photographed a wedding (below ) for Kim + Will at the Lake House in Pickering.  The blog post for their wedding is a double-blog post with the images having a bit of a “vintage feel”.

Will asked the Chief if he could borrow his vintage car and we took it for a quick spin.

Adrian + Doug photographed (below) a wedding for Corrie + Mike up in Lindsay.

Dan photographed a wedding for Janel + Eric (below) in August.  This post is also a double-blog post and also has a vintage feel to it.

That wraps up August… next is September!

We also posted a video that was different than we have seen. The song has grown on us and the wedding is so cool. Such a simple wedding and if you watch it… it looked like a blast to attend. We love posting videos we find on the net.

We posted another Collection that is more about the Reception and the Party. We will also add to this post with work from 2010 this winter.

In July we had Dan, Adrian and Doug photograph a 15 hour wedding for Reena + TJ (below)

Dan took Deborah + Russ (below) out again for another shoot.  They dressed up in the same clothes to continue their shoot.  This time it was in the Don Valley.

Next is August!

Dan photographed Deborah + Russ who booked him to photograph their wedding in the summer of 2011.  Dan met up with them downtown Toronto to head over to the Toronto Islands to shoot some engagements.  This couple just got transferred to France to work and they both will come back to get married this summer.

Dan photographed Alannah + Casey (below) out on a farm and had a blast with them.  They commissioned him to photograph their wedding in the Summer of 2011.

We love the smallest things.  Love the way Casey is holding her finger below.

In June we were excited to launch a super cool promotion with Toronto’s Samuel Kleinberg Jewellers where every man who purchases an engagement ring from them will automatically get a free engagement shoot from Blue Six Creative.

We launched a Blog that has all the details and will show off the shots that we have completed for them.  We are looking forward to working with this partnership and working with them to deliver some great shots for their clients.

Also in June, Dan photographed some engagements for Wivian + Simon who are getting married in Brazil.  They wanted to have some shots of them as a couple.  Dan photographed them under the bridge that runs under the 401 on a day that started to pour.  They rescheduled another session down by the Lake in Ajax.

Brett photographed Erica + James (below) downtown Toronto.  He later photographed their wedding at the Old Mill in Toronto.

Dan photographed engagements for Melanie + Earl (below) down by the Lake in Ajax where everyone wants them done.  He later photographed their wedding at Trafalgar Castle in Whitby.

Dan photographed a wedding at the Old Mill in Toronto for Isabelle + Chris.  Such a beautiful day to get married.

We blogged a cool video from Norris Films who we would be working with later in the summer and this post shows a neat Same Day Edit they did and they also posted the couples reaction as they watched it for the first time.

Dan + Doug photographed some shots of Luke + Gillian at High Park in Toronto on a super hot day.  We actually met this couple at a wedding and asked them if they would love to come out with us and shoot.  They met up with us after we photographed Isabelle + Chris’s shots at High Park below.

We are such a sucker for watching videos.  Maybe too much time in the day is being inspired.  This video that we posted is cool to watch.  Such an awesome story that then leads to footage of the wedding.  You can watch it below.  I think everyone should sit in a chair in a field and tell stories. That would be awesome to film that and piece them together for each client.

We posted a “Before + After” shot and we should post more of them.  Here is a image that Adrian shot in May of Sophie + Dominic.  Here is the shot that came out of the camera:

Playing with images in post-production is fun and challenging… but looking at the finished results is cool.  This shot we wanted to bring out the sky more and put a bit of drama into the shot.

In May we also photographed Kelli + Alex’s wedding at The Estates of Sunnybrook.  Dan was the main photographer and Adrian + Doug were the second shooters.  Some of the images are below.

One really cool moments in weddings to photograph is when parents hug their kids who just got married.

LOL at the Father of the Bride who blew up a picture of the groom that he would not want everyone in the room to see.

Then pulls out a movie poster he mocked up.

Adrian photographed Daphine + Sheldon (below) down at the Lake in Ajax on a chilly day.  Adrian later photographed their wedding later in the year.

Adrian also shot Sophie + Dominic who we talked about above.  They also wanted to use the Lake in Ajax as a backdrop for their engagement pictures.

We also posted three videos that we found inspiring.  The first one was a huge wedding that some super awesome creative vendors filmed in India and wanted to make a long story of a wedding.  Sort of a mini-movie.  You can view it here.  We also posted an engagement shoot at night that we found on the net.  We also posted a video from Still-Motion that shows the Magic of a Wedding.  If you are wondering why we post these videos on our blog is that our clients love to watch them and find them inspiring.  It might also show them some ideas to get the juices flowing on setting up a creative concept shoot with them.

Also in May, Dan photographed Larissa + Chris who will be married in 2011.  They wanted to do the shoot along the waterfront in Ajax at Rotary Park.  Doug also came along to shoot with Dan on this shoot below…

We then wrap up May with a video from Still-Motion that we posted on our blog that shows all the little details of a wedding day.  So inspiring!

Dan photographed engagements (below) for Kim + Will under a bridge along the 401 as well as down by the lake in Ajax.  He later shot their wedding for this cool couple.

Adrian photographed some engagements (below) for Leigh + Stu under the bridge along the 401 also with a mini-marathon session with 3 couples.  When the weather gets a bit warmer but it’s not wedding season yet…. we all are itching to get out and find some people to photograph, so Adrian lined up 3 couples back to back.

Leigh-Ann had the most amazing eyes.

Therefore the same day, Adrian photographed Jennifer + Nik (below) at the same spot.

I’ll say it and get it off my chest.  That little tat is sexy as hell.

Adrian then photographed Sarah + Josh (below) as his 3rd couple back to back.  Sarah does make-up for weddings and we are excited to get to know her better.

Also in the month, Adrian photographed two sessions back to back downtown Toronto in the Financial District for Jenn + Kevin as well as Mariela + John (seen below) who he later photographed their wedding.

Dan photographed Amanda + Alex down by the water in Ajax. (shown below) and he later photographed their wedding.  Can’t forget Rex below.

Below we blogged about a cute film we found on the net that a guy put together for his girlfriend.  the world needs more of these.
