Editor’s Notes: Toronto Wedding Professionals along with some great Toronto Wedding Vendors are getting together to offer a cool contest to couples across Southern Ontario where they have a chance to win some awesome prizes.

Kevin and I met in October 2005, we used to meet up practically every day for coffee.  I remember the day I knew he would be mine forever.  March 5th, 2006.  My 21st birthday.  I had been planning a huge bash to celebrate and had invited Kevin to join me.  He told me a few of his friends were also thinking about joining him as well.  Excited about this I got ready to go.  Game time rolled around and Kevin shows up at my condo ready to go.  “ALONE”  His friends ended up staying home and he still showed up.  I thought that was the most romantic thing anyone had ever done for me.

A few weeks later while having coffee he turned to me and asked “When are you going to be my girlfriend?”  I said, “If you can spell my last name… I’ll be your girlfriend.”  Unfortunately he got it wrong BUT we’ve been together ever since.  It was too cute.  I’ve never been so sure of something ever in my life.  And here we are almost 6 years later!

Tell us how you got engaged?

On July 10th, 2010 – Kevin sleeps at my house every Wednesday and what a surprise!!  A week before I had bought a pendant for my best friend.  The day I was supposed to give it to her, I dropped it down the sink.  I was mortified.  Thinking that Kevin could possibly pull it from the pipes, I asked him if he could try.  Kevin came over with all his tools ready to tare apart the sink.  While he worked and I waited… I took my pup for a walk around the block.  I got back to the house and he’s just sitting there, on the bathroom floor!!!!  What was he waiting for????  ME!  He was waiting for me to help, so I sat down with him to pass him tools that he asked for.   Like a little school girl, he’s giggling and the whole time and I’m thinking “he has this pendant in his hands and he’s making me sweat it out… I’ll never get it!”  So he proceeds to “attempt” to turn the pipes or do whatever you do to tear the pipes out.  Finally he says:  “the previous owner had these pipes too tight and my hands are too big to turn them… can you try?”

I’m thinking of my goodness are you kidding me?  (So Annoying, I don’t know the first thing about doing this) I get down on all fours and i see a red box shoved between the pipes.  and let me tell you, to explain the feeling that instantly comes over you is described as “AMAZING” , i was paralized with emotions at the thought of a ring.  and than…  i opened the box…and immediately started to cry.  I think i cried for a good 20 minutes, looking at kevin back at the ring, back at kevin.  I don’t think i gave him a chance to speak at all. I’m such a baby.  So to top it all off my mom comes running down the stairs freaking out, because she thought i hurt myself (talk about bad timing) Ha Ha and He said “are you ready for this?” AND SAID: JESSICA WILL YOU MARRY ME?And here i am today, i said yes ofcourse.

• WeDDings Jubilee Planning Services – is excited to present to the winner of this contest a fabulous planning prize. The winner of this contest will receive 3 hours of Wedding Planning consultation as well as a gift certificate of $250 to be used against any of our planning packages.
